| Product Description
The Cuda Telescoping Tag Stick offers a wide selection of functional lengths for tagging operations, ranging from 35" to 73". The main shaft is constructed of an exceptionally robust aircraft aluminum alloy as well, which is highly corrosion resistant so the Tag Stick can remain functional and smooth after repeated exposure to salt and freshwater environments where moisture abounds. Also featuring channeled water drainage, a lanyard connection point, and a non-slip grip, you can wield the Tag Stick at any length with ease and precision. The Tag Stick Works with standard tag spikes and National Marine Fishery tags as well, which are not included.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Efficient Strong Tag Stick The tag stick is really strong and not heavy at all so using it is easy and efficient. Definitely a good investment if you are tagging fish. I also used it to get a Frisbee off my roof during the off season.

I am using the NOAA shark (dart) tags as part of their Cooperative Shark Tagging Program. Will this work? Does the spike provided by NOAA have to be secured in the stick or does the stick already have the spike embedded in its end?

Asked by: Capt Don
Thanks for your question Capt. Don. The tag stick will work with the NOAA shark tags, it does come with a spike but the spike is not already embedded in the end of the stick. We hope this helps. Regards, The Cuda Team

I don't see how this tag stick will accept standard tag spikes. The tag spikes I just received from NMFS have a larger diameter than the threaded hole in the end of this stick. Also the spikes are not threaded. What is the included clam spike used for ?

Asked by: coyotee
Hi, thanks for the question. We have not heard this before and in all of our testing, our tag stick does fit spikes and tags from NMFS. We would like to figure this out! Did you purchase a tag stick already and it does not fit the spikes? Would you mind emailing [email protected] so we can discuss in further detail? Thanks! Regards, The Cuda Team

Does the joints where it telescopes out have any safety catch to keep the piece from sliding out all the way, incase it gets loose ? And how does the joints lock, by twist ? Thx

Asked by: Joe l
Hi Joe, This is a great question. The tag stick has a twisting locking collar. There is no external safety catch but we have had no reports of the stick loosening unexpectedly. Be sure to check out #18095 Cuda Connect! It works with the tag stick as an action camera adapter. Thanks! The Cuda Team
