What is the weight max rating?
Hello,
Since the harpoon does not lift the fish itself, there is no weight rating. The harpoon pushes the dart into the fish, even very large ones. We hope this helps.

Does it float?
Hi Robert,
While our gaffs do float, the harpoon does not. Thanks for the question.

Hello, I just purchased and have three questions. 1)Do I need to sharpen the dart supplied with kit? 2)What Size, type and strength is the line which comes attached to the dart? 3)How is lanyard ring attached to Harpoon? threaded?
Hello,
Thanks for the great questions. Yes, you do need to sharpen the dart. It can be sharpened with a standard file or knife sharpener. There is a rope line included and it is 5.6mm in diameter. Yes, the lanyard ring is threaded to the harpoon. We hope this information helps.

On the harpoon, for the mainline running to the buoy what is the best knot to attach mainline to the dart line and should I just run main buoy line through O ring at bottom or should I add a carbiner clip to O ring?
Hi Troy,
Thanks for the question. It's really angler preference. Our harpoon lanyard comes fitted with a loop at the end. The simple way is to make a loop on the harpoon line and interweave with the loop at the end of the harpoon dart line. We hope this helps.
