Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sharp and flexible with great corrosion resistance This is a workhorse of a filet knife with an extremely sharp and flexible blade. The contoured handle is extremely non-slip and fits my hand well with no fatigue after cleaning multiple fish. The hard-plastic sheath offers a positive snap-in design that holds the knife securely and protects the blade. The sheath is great for storage and transport. Reasonably priced and the blade coating resists corrosion and cleaning is easy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cuda 7" Freshwater Fillet Knife: Perfect! I love this knife! The blade was just flexible enough and very sharp. The handles were the best feature to this knife, no slipping during use! Fish is just slippery business and the handles/grips stayed in my hands with no problems. The length is perfect for salmon. This knife will be a permanent addition to my fishing gear.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It makes big fish smaller I brought this, a smaller Cuda knife, and the Cuda microscissors on out walleye charter trip. We brought back 42 lbs of walleye, and more than one fillet knife ended up in the garbage during the ensuing fish cleaning. My Cudas were not amongst them, and I know that more than one person went out and bought their own afterward.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice and thin filet knife This filet knife and sheath are made of high quality materials. The thin blade is great for filleting medium size fish and the handle has great grip so your hand won't slip! The sheath is quite durable and has a belt loop that can moved to either the right or left side.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is perfect for camping at the lake. You need this for those weekends at the lake. Sheath keeps it safe on the boat and around kids. Works great on larger fish (I have the 6" for panfish) to quickly clean the catch for lunch. Handle is well designed for grip.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ver sharp This knife is very sharp. I was able to slice cooked pork belly very thin. It is not fishing season right now, so I cannot tell how it would do in filleting a fish, but it is big, thin, and very flexible.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Long blade Quality is there for sure. Blade is long and very flexible. I have used it on fish and it worked great should come in handy when deer season comes along too. Holds an edge pretty good. Can't complain.

Can this knife be used in a saltwater application?

Asked by: Pcoats19
Absolutely! We call it a freshwater knife because of it's length and because it is part of our freshwater tool family but it can definitely be used in saltwater environments. It is the same steel and construction as the other knives in this line. Thanks for the question. Regards, The Cuda Team

What makes this knife so much cheaper than other 7in cuda fillet knifes

Asked by: Rick
Hi Rick, Thanks for your question. Are you comparing this knife (#18124) to Cuda #18126? If so, the #18126 is a professional level knife with Titanium Nonstick blade instead of Titanium Bonded blade. The handle of the #18126 is Micarta and the knife includes a custom hard-molded sheath vs. the lightweight reversible sheath of #18124. The #18124 is a great knife that will stay sharp and is perfect for most anglers. We hope this answers your question. Regards, The Cuda Team
