Elite Series pro Jacob Powroznik has a 11-year history of success at the highest levels of tournament bass fishing.
It took the Port Haywood, Virginia native less than a year to make himself a household name on the international bass scene: Powroznik won two events his first year on the Elite tour (2014), ran away with the Elite Rookie of the Year title, and was then named the No. 1 angler in the world on Bassfan.com’s World Rankings to start the 2015 season.
Longtime bass fans weren’t surprised, though: Powroznikarrived on the Elite Series after racking up nearly $1 million in winnings in 10 years on the FLW Tour, where he proved himself as a consistent Top 5 competitor for Angler of the Year honors. He’s mirrored that on the Elite Series, finishing in the Top 5 in AOY points his first two years as an Elite, and finishing sixth in his first Bassmaster Classic. Powroznik has racked up five Tour-level wins and 42 Top 10s in his career, and is a frequent presence in national magazines and television.
